Grand Reopening of Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Supervisor Lachterman joined Town Officials in welcoming Joey Bravo to our business community as the new owner of Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard at 1881 Commerce Street in Yorktown Heights.

A graduate of Yorktown High School and just 18, Bravo is one of the youngest business owners in Yorktown.

Rita's first opening in Yorktown in 2013 where Joey was an employee during high school and when he saw the opportunity to own it himself, he took it.

"It's always great to see a Yorktown family open a business in Yorktown," said Lachterman. "It's really also special to see a young entrepreneur come up because it takes a lot of work and the desire, and you're realizing some dreams here. I think it's just phenomenal. I wish you nothing but the best and a lot of success."
