Town Supervisor Edward Lachterman and the Town Board proclaim May 10 - May 16, 2026 as National Police Week in the Town of Yorktown.
During Police Week and on Law Enforcement Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who put on the badge each day to protect our communities. We remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and keep their families in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you to all of our law enforcement officers for your courage, dedication, and service. We will never forget those who gave their lives in service to others. Special thanks to Officer Mundy for coming & accepting the certificate last night at meeting!
